Coaching Requirements
The following is an overview of the requirements from USA Hockey that all coaches must abide by. Any coach, head or assistant, who is going to be on the bench must complete these items.
USA Hockey
Register as a member of USA Hockey. (Cost is around $50 plus any affiliate fees if applicable)
Background
Complete the required background screening.
Safesport
Complete the USA Hockey Safe Sport Training. Required every year and cannot be added to a roster until completed.
Age Module
Complete the online age-specific module(s) for the age level of play you are coaching. Cost is around $20 per module and only needs to be completed once per age level.
Coaching Education (CEP)
Register and attend the required certification clinic. Cost is around $55. You can only attend one clinic per season and all coaches start at Level 1. The CEP Certification Clinic requirements must be completed by December 31st.
